Over the last five years, we have intentionally reimagined this home to create a sanctuary specifically designed for larger groups of up to 16 guests.

The most cherished moments of any trip happen in the common areas, and Pinetree is architecturally designed to keep your group together:

• A Massive Table for 16: Our custom-made dining table comfortably seats up to 16 guests at a single, unified table—a unique feature in Sun Peaks. We believe no one should have to eat in "shifts". We also have plenty of dinner wear and four additional counter seats so up to 20 people can stay connected in one beautiful space.

• Dual Adjacent Living Rooms: We uniquely offer two connected living areas that comfortably seat up to 14 people. The furniture layout allows your group to socialize all together or provides a slight separation for different conversations.

• Panoramic Views: All of this living space enjoys the most magnificent panoramic views in Sun Peaks through a 20' high wall of windows. The architectural "prow" design of the house is designed to bring the mountain landscape indoors.

2. The Largest Footprint: 7 Sleeping Areas & 15 Separate Sleeping Spots

At 4000+ square feet, Pinetree Chalet is the largest vacation rental home in Sun Peaks. We have moved away from a "bed-crowded rooms" approach toward a spacious experience that offers many private zones.

• 7 Distinct Sleeping Areas: By utilizing the Lodgepole Hideaway, Main House and Sugar Pine Suite, we offer seven private rooms — the most in the resort.

• Up to 15 Separate Beds /Sleeping Arrangements: Our expansive layout provides the highest capacity in Sun Peaks, ensuring maximum flexibility for up to 16 overnight guests when group members prefer not to share a bed.  

• Flexible Sanctuary: We have designed our spaces to be intentionally flexible, whether hosting retreats, extended family stays, corporate meet-ups, men's golf getaways, or up to seven couples.  Even our bunk room was designed with a custom-built log queen bed with headroom for adults.

• Quality Comfort & Sleep: Luxury bedding features New Zealand wool pads and organic cotton sheets, extra cozy blankets, and a whole-house HRV air-exchange system for fresh mountain air while you slumber.

3. The 6-Bathroom Advantage

One of the biggest hurdles for large groups is the "morning rush." With up to six bathrooms available, Pinetree Chalet offers a rare 1:2 bathroom-to-guest ratio. This level of convenience ensures that even at maximum capacity, getting ready for the day is a relaxed experience.

4. Unmatched Privacy: Nine Separate Living & Lounge Zones

While we specialize in bringing people together, we know that large groups also appreciate the freedom to spread out. Pinetree Chalet features nine distinct living and lounge areas (both indoor and outdoor), ensuring that everyone can find a quiet corner:

• Indoor Zones: This includes the Main Living Room, the adjacent Family Room, the Lodgepole Hideaway for movies or games, and the private Suite Lounge for a peaceful oasis.

• Outdoor Zones: We offer three private balconies and two large decks — read, enjoy a game, work remotely, or have an intimate coffee chat under the mountain sky.

5. Seamless Logistics: Parking, Gear & Access

Large groups generate complex logistics; we have designed Pinetree Chalet to make them effortless:

• Stress-Free Parking: We provide on-site parking for up to 5 vehicles, a vital asset in a resort where street parking is restricted.

• The "Basecamp" Gear Hub: Three foyers feature ample storage and hooks for your gear and outerwear — plus convenient on-site laundry facilities.

• True Ski-In Access: Situated directly on the slopes of Tod Mountain, you can park on-site and ski back home. A short 3-minute (200-metre) walk brings you to the Sunburst connector. The village is a quick and scenic stroll away. Plus, multiple hiking, biking, and snowshoe trails begin right at your doorstep. 

• An 8-person Hot Tub: After a day in the great outdoors, enjoy some real hydrotherapy. Our guests specifically love that the strong jets effectively massage tired muscles—making it the ultimate post-activity recovery spot for the whole crew.

6. A Kitchen Built for Multiple Chefs

Feeding a large group requires a "culinary command center". Our kitchen is exceptionally well stocked and specifically designed for collective meal prep:

• Space to Move: The large layout is well spaced and allows multiple cooks to work simultaneously.

• Intentional Storage: We provide plenty of cupboard space so your group can store 1-2 weeks worth of food.

• Dual-Fridge Efficiency: A dedicated beverage station with second full fridge keep "drink traffic" away from the main cooking area. (Plus a second full kitchen in the suite.)
