We are excited to share our corner of the world with you. If you’re dreaming of cozying up in a mountain chalet with breathtaking panoramic views, you’ve found your spot! From the moment we first saw the sweeping views from Pinetree Chalet, we knew this home was meant to be shared.

Over the past few years, I've spent much of my time in the idyllic mountain village of Sun Peaks — preparing for guests, working on projects, hosting retreats, or simply enjoying quiet time in nature. Admiring the ever-changing mountain view from our vacation home never gets old. It leaves me feeling contemplative and grateful — often prodding me to start a blog to share what makes this mountain village, and our special home, so magical.

Every season brings its own beauty. Today is October 17, 2025, and I woke to find the first real snowfall of the season — a light dusting that blankets the ground and brings the promise of the winter season adventures quickly approaching. Then a young deer with its new winter coat wandered up the stream next to the house — it felt almost unreal, like a clip in a Hallmark movie. The sense of wonder was my final nudge to finally begin this blog journey.

"The Pinetree View" name echoes the stunning vistas around the chalet, and also a personal perspective inspired by time spent in Sun Peaks with family and friends, and even feedback from guests.  When I say "we" I'm referring to those shared experiences, the people who have filled this place with life.
