rental policies

All occupants are expected to understand and observe our rental policies when they're at Pinetree Chalet:

Booking & Payment

• Age 28+ to rent. The person renting should be staying in the home. No third-party bookings.

• Check-in time is after 4pm; Check-out time is by 10am. Any extension must be arranged in advance.

• Cancellations within 24 hours of booking will receive a full refund. After that, fully paid nights that are re-booked by another group will be refunded.
  Note: this applies to direct bookings. For third-party bookings, refer to their cancellation policies.

• Some payment methods incur a processing fee payable by the guest. Please check whether the fee is refundable. 

• A damage deposit is required prior to arrival. You may also provide security by leaving a credit card on file.

Occupancy & Responsibilitiy

• Please treat our family vacation home and contents with respect while you enjoy your stay.

• Our home is family-focused. If you feel your singles group or team should be an exception, let's discuss further.

• All overnight guests, daytime visitors and pets must be registered and paid. Drop-ins not permitted.

• A responsible adult must remain in the same area of the home as any children and is responsible for ensuring house rules are followed.

• Pets may be permitted on a case-by-case basis - please inquire. A pet fee applies when approved.

• No parties. stags, bachelorettes or "entertainers". No drugs, smoking, cannabis, or vaping.

• Responsible alcohol consumption only. Parties and intoxication are not permitted on the property. 

• No noise or hot tub use from 10pm - 7am. Guests are expected to respect the peaceful nature of Sun Peaks at all times.

• Entering the property confirms acceptance of responsibility for any additional cleaning, damage, expenses, or fines resulting from the group's stay. 

Property Information

• Private parking is provided on site based on the number of rooms booked. Street parking is seasonal. Paid village parking is available for excess vehicles.

• When booking the main house plus suite, access is via a covered outdoor staircase. There is no indoor connection.

• The garage, utility room and storage areas are not accessible to guests. 

• All items provided for your stay are to remain on the property.

• Outdoor security cameras are on site to monitor occupancy and noise; none are indoors where privacy is expected.

• Our free wifi is for personal use, emails, social media and web surfing. Streaming is not guaranteed.

• Guests are responsible for arranging any travel, medical, cancellation, or other insurance they require. Pinetree Chalet and its owners are not responsible for disruptions to travel or vacation plans, accidents, injuries, damage, or loss. 

The organizer is required to sign our Rental Policies on behalf of the group, confirming that they have assessed their group's suitability for the property and will ensure that all guests and daytime visitors are aware of these Policies before arrival and respect them throughout their stay.
